Congratulations to Kamaria Green for being selected as one of three winners for the Macomb Area Conference Principals Association Leadership Scholarship! Green is a senior at Clintondale High School and received a $1,000 scholarship. Green’s essay answered the question: How do you define leadership and how do those qualities apply to you, your leadership roles and your experiences while in high school? Click the headline to read Green’s essay.

Congratulations to Lazarrius Abner for being selected to the Macomb County All-Academic Team. Abner has an overall 4.299 grade point average and an SAT score of 1480! He is a dual-enrolled student at Macomb Community College and a senior at Clintondale High School.  

Clintondale Community Schools has brought back student representation on the Board of Education after a five-year absence! Congratulations to Abriana Guzman, junior, & Kurt Violet, sophomore, from Clintondale High School for being inducted as student representatives at the March 18 meeting. Listening to and learning from our new representatives is one more important approach to moving the district forward.

The Clintondale Community Schools Board of Education has appointed Wilbur L. Jones as a new school board trustee on March 11.

Last week, Clintondale alumni guest readers came to Parker Elementary School to celebrate March is Reading Month. Jared Maynard '98, Clintondale Community Schools Board of Education president, and Iona Means '80, community member, read to students in the first, second, third and fourth grades.

The Clintondale Board of Education has unanimously approved a new higher academic standard for student-athletes.

Clintondale Board president Beverley Lewis-Moss has graduated from the FBI Citizens Academy program in Detroit.

Clintondale Schools will receive an increase of $450 in state aid for each FTE. Clintondale will now receive $9,150 per student.

Rachel Elson is among 25 teachers in Michigan to receive the Lake Michigan Credit Union’s Roots in Education grant. She is the only teacher in Macomb County to receive the $1,000 grant this year.
