Dragons Baseball
The 1988 baseball season was the most successful in Clintondale history. The magical season was capped by the Dragons winning the Class B state championship, besting Battle Creek Lakeview, 16-4, the finals in East Lansing. The day earlier, Clintondale defeated Sault Ste. Marie, 13-3, in the state semifinals.
In all, the Dragons have won eight league championships (1965, 1986, 1987, 1988, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2021). They have also won six district titles (1975, 1976, 1987, 1988, 2001, 2008). The Dragons captured the 2021 Macomb Area Conference Bronze Division championship with a 14-1 league record. They finished the 2021 campaign with a 16-8 overall mark.
