Dragons Football
The Clintondale Dragons first hit the gridiron during the 1957 season, playing an independent schedule. The following season, the Dragons joined the Central Suburban League (CSL) with Madison Heights Lamphere, Harper Woods Lutheran East, New Boston Huron, Birmingham Detroit Country Day, and Harper Woods. Clintondale competed in the CSL for nine seasons. In 1967, the Dragons and L'Anse Creuse joined the six team Bi-County League (BCL) with Fraser and the three St. Clair Shores schools: Lake Shore, Lakeview and South Lake. Once the BCL disbanded following the 1986 season, the Dragons hitched on to the Macomb Area Conference, where they remain members today.
The Dragons have won 16 division championships, including 11 in the Macomb Area Conference (three Bronze, six Silver, two)
